Technology is always changing and for Facebook, they have to constantly change their layout too. You may have noticed in the past week that Facebook has changed the look of business pages. This new layout offers better user navigation for you the consumer to find important information.
You may have noticed the navigation bars have moved to the left hand side of the page. This portion of the page stays static while you scroll through the newsfeed and is where you will find Home, About, Photos, Reviews, Likes, Videos, and Posts. To the right of the page, you will find the likes, business info, rating and reviews. If you are using a mobile device, the navigation bars have not moved. However, you now have the ability to scroll left or right to select through the navigation bars. You are also able to see the new profile and cover picture layout.
Profile Picture / Cover Picture
In our personal opinion, the best new feature is with the profile picture and cover photo. Before the latest update, the profile picture was covering the bottom left square of the cover photo, but now, they are separate. This new layout will give the business the ability to display a more creative picture and not have to worry about covering anything in the cover photo.
What do you think of the change? It may take a while to get used to the layout, but we think the design looks cleaner and will benefit both the consumer and business.
